Our curated guide to what's up Down East
The River House is one of our newest properties in Bath. This modern, art filled minimalist house sits on a bluff leading into Bath's peaceful Thorne Head Preserve. Located at the end of a private cul-de-sac in the highly coveted north Bath, this updated ranch house has its own dock and an open floor plan with windows everywhere overlooking the Kennebec River. A huge gas grill and comfy outdoor seating on the large deck make summer meals a breeze. A fully-equipped chef's kitchen bring things up a notch. Keep yourself warm and cozy with a wood burning fire during snowy days.
This beautifully preserved 1890's house is situated on the edge of the Kennebec River. It is the larger of two properties (see The Nest below) on a gorgeous piece of land on the outskirts of Bath. Close to great shops, restaurants, and beaches, and just a 20-minute drive from Bowdoin College. Adjacent to a boat launch, and a short walk from the Bath Marine Museum and a scenic dog park. Guests can sit on the wrap-around deck and watch the evening fall over the marshes. The house has a large fully equipped open-plan kitchen, a sun room with windows on two sides, and a dining room. There are two bedrooms with queen beds, one bedroom with two single beds, and a small bedroom with a single bed, and two bathrooms. There are two dedicated private parking spaces.
